This is a call for submissions for the upcoming anthology Young Blood/Old Blood , which will feature ten writers under the age of 20 and ten writers over the age of 50. Young writers between and including the ages of 15 and 20 who are based in western or central Massachusetts are encouraged to submit five to ten poems for consideration.
Submission Window: April 15th–May15th
Submission Guidelines:
● Submissions can be sent as a .pdf, .rdf, .doc. or .docx.
● Poems must be in Times New Roman, 12 point font, single spaced.
● Each poem should start on a new page.
● Please include a short third person biography in the body of your email (cover letter optional).
● Previously published poems are allowed as long as you (the author) have publishing rights.
● Poetic sequences (poems with numbered or individual parts) are considered their own poems; e.g., if your poem has five parts, those are your five poems.
Ten finalists will be selected. Each finalist will be invited to read at a Round Robin event at Worcester University, date and time TBA.
You will be notified of your acceptance or rejection via email.
