NEPC Board Member Doug Holder interviewed poet Michael T. Steffen about his new collection, I Saw My Life, published by Lily Poetry Review Press. The conversation moves through near-death experience, aging, Keats, Sylvia Plath, and the way poetry helps us make meaning from fleeting moments and reflective memory.

NEPC Member Mary L. Serantoni announced the selection and publication of her poem, “Conversation over Breakfast,” by Jane Hirshfield, Poets for Science founder/curator, poet, and environmental spokesperson, and the Wick Poetry Center at Kent State University!

We announced that Sally Young from Dartmouth College was this year’s winner of the New England Poetry Club Victor Howes Prize in Poetry! https://loom.ly/Vqs3fcA

NEPC Member Beth Ann Hooper’s latest poetry collection, Haunting the Dead, was published on May 1, 2026. The collection uniquely blends poetry and visual storytelling through video interpretations accessible by QR codes throughout the book.

Three poems from the collection were also featured in Poetry in Motion Picture, a short arthouse film that brings poetry to life through cinematic imagery and an original musical score.
