Sonja Ringo is a Canadian-American poet and author of two poetry collections, Where the Beetle Went for Lunch and mortal atlas. Her third collection is forthcoming. She is the winner of the 2025 Chinook Poetry Prize and was shortlisted for the 2026 Lemonlight Poetry Prize. Her work explores transcendentalism, technology, mysticism, and the nature of existence. When not writing at home in Calgary, she can be found haunting little-known corners of the globe, or curled up beneath an old cedar in search of wild mushrooms.
