NEPC Board Member Lloyd Schwartz had a couple of announcements!

1. A new chapbook is out called “He Tells His Mother What He’s Working On,” which was published in February 2026 by the Grolier Poetry Press. See it here: https://loom.ly/AGaZx1s

2. A new book coming out in April 2026 from Arrowsmith called “Artur Schnabel and Joseph Szigeri Play Mozart at the Frick Collection (April 4, 1948) and other poems.” See it here: https://loom.ly/pKB7iHs

The Arlington, MA community announced Teresa Cader as their next Poet Laureate!

NEPC member Mary L. Serantoni announced that Amethyst Review (UK) has published her poem ‘How Shall We Find This Praise.’ Amethyst Review is an online literary journal focusing on writing that engages with spirituality and the sacred. Based in the UK. You can read it here: https://loom.ly/ETgXXa0

Poet Gail Thomas released a new collection, This World, which was launched on April 18 at the Forbes Library in Northampton. Featuring poems by Gail Thomas and black-and-white photographs by Deb Lohmeyer, the book reflects on immigrants, the houseless, invisibility, grief, love, and hope.

All proceeds support organizations serving immigrants and the houseless, including the Center for New Americans and Manna Community Kitchen in Northampton, with future sales benefiting similar groups in other communities.
